5 Benefits of Having a Plan Manager

Navigating the NDIS can be a challenging experience for many. However, with the right supports, you can learn the skills needed to become more independent and achieve your goals.

As an NDIS participant, there are three main options for how your funding is managed within your plan. This includes:

  • Self-management – the NDIA provides you with funding to access your supports.

  • NDIA-management – the NDIA pays your support providers on your behalf.

  • Plan-management – the NDIA provides funding in your plan to pay for a Plan Manager who pays your support providers for you, manages your funding, and provides financial reporting.

In this article, we will be discussing the 5 benefits of having a Plan Manager to assist you with your NDIS Plan. But first, what exactly does a plan manager do?

What is Plan Management?

Plan Management is a service funded through the NDIS that supports participants in the management of their NDIS funding. As a Plan Manager, we are responsible for:

  • Receiving and paying invoices for service providers of your choice (both registered and unregistered)

  • Monitoring your funds, and sending monthly financial statements

  • Adhering to the NDIS Price Guide

  • Claiming funds from your NDIS Budget

The 5 Benefits of Having a Plan Manager

  1. Reduce Stress

Managing an NDIS Plan can oftentimes be a stressful and time-consuming process. That’s where the role of a Plan Manager comes in. We pay your service providers on your behalf, keep track of your budget, and record how you spend your funding, so you don’t have to!

  2. Get Organised

Having a Plan Manager makes financial recordkeeping and reporting so much easier. At Pacific Plan Management, we are a small team of professional, experienced, and knowledgeable Plan Managers who are always willing to help. You are more than just a number to us!

  3. Gain More Control

With a plan manager, you have increased freedom and control over who is included in your disability support team. Having Plan Management in your NDIS plan gives you access to work with both registered and unregistered providers.

  4. Save Time

By leaving the financial and administration tasks to us, you can save time and worry about the important things, such as accessing the relevant supports you require to meet your needs and goals. Our goal is to make the NDIS work for you.

  5. No Extra Fees

Plan Management is available at request for all NDIS participants, and comes at no extra cost. If you want to be plan managed, speak to your LAC or NDIA planner about including this service in your plan. If you are already plan managed by another provider and would like to make the switch to Pacific Plan Management, contact our team today.
